Kitchen Rodeo LLC ("Company", "we", "us") operates Bird Whisperer ("Service"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

  • Email address (used for authentication and digest delivery)
  • Name (optional, for display purposes)

Service Data

  • X/Twitter usernames you choose to follow (public account handles only)
  • Your context description (e.g., "PM at a fintech startup") used to personalize summaries
  • Custom prompt preferences
  • Delivery preferences (time, timezone, email addresses)
  • Digest history (generated summaries)

Technical Data

  • IP address and user agent (for session security)
  • Session tokens

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Authentication: Your email is used to sign you in via one-time codes. We do not store passwords.
  • Digest generation: Your followed accounts, context, and preferences are used to fetch public posts and generate personalized AI summaries.
  • Email delivery: Digests are sent to email addresses you specify.
  • Billing: Subscription management is handled by our payment processor. We do not store credit card numbers or payment details directly.

3. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services to operate the Service. These may change over time as we improve the product. Categories of third-party services include:

  • Cloud infrastructure: For hosting, database, and email delivery
  • Social media APIs: To fetch publicly available posts from accounts you follow. We only access public posts — never private accounts, DMs, or your personal social media account.
  • AI providers: To generate summaries of fetched posts. Your context and the fetched posts are sent to AI services for processing. We select providers that offer appropriate data handling practices.
  • Payment processing: For subscription management and billing

We may change the specific third-party providers we use at any time. We will update this policy if such changes materially affect how your data is handled.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Digest history is stored indefinitely to allow you to review past digests. When you delete your account, all associated data (follows, settings, digest history, session data) is permanently and immediately deleted from our database.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), secure session management, and reputable infrastructure providers. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

You can at any time:

  • Access your data through the Settings and History pages
  • Modify your context, follows, and delivery preferences
  • Delete your entire account and all associated data through Account settings
  • Export your digest history by contacting us

7. Cookies

We use a single essential session cookie for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party advertising cookies. A theme preference may be stored in your browser's localStorage.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
